Ingo Maurer mit der Lil Luxury Deckenleuchte
Ingo Maurer, der Designer der Lil Luxury Deckenleuchte, wurde 1932 auf der Insel Reichenau am Bodensee geboren. Nach der
Ausbildung zum Typographen folgte ein Graphikstudium in München. 1960
wanderte Ingo Maurer in die USA aus und arbeitete dort bis 1963 als
freier Designer. 1966 Gründung von "Design M" in München. Eine der
ersten Leuchten mit Design-Auszeichnungen entstand dort: Bulb. Viele
weitere Auszeichnungen und Ausstellungen folgen; u.a.:1999 der
Designpreis der Stadt München, 2000 Lucky Strike Designer Award, 2002
"Collab`s Design Excellence Award" des Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Gekrönt wurde das Lebenswerk durch die Verleihung der Ehrendoktorwürde
durch das Royal College of Art, London und Verleihung des Designpreises
der BRD für das Lebenswerk. Die Leuchten von Ingo Maurer zeichnen sich
durch innovativen Zeitgeist aus: ungewöhnliches, überaschendes Design
